BIOGRAPHY 

Gerda Leenards has exhibited widely in public & private galleries in NZ, Australia and The Netherlands since 1981.
More recently at Pataka, Art+Museum, Porirua  City, where she showed her current treescapes.
She has been included in numerous publications
and has been the recipient of several awards and grants.
Her Fiordland paintings
featured the award winning film "The Waterfall " by Peta Carey.

PAIntings 

In 1990 her residence in Elba, Nijmegen,Holland cemented a vital connection to the Tradition of the Dutch painting, demonstrating a furthering of a depth of tone and atmosphere in her painting. The Pataka Exhibition exploring her current themes in colour indicative of New Zealand moody landscapes - showing beautiful rendering of the shades in Blue-Green Waters and misty, silvery light.
